FAQs
How is the design applied to the hairyticktees.com shirt?
Hairyticktees graphics are applied with a heat transfer system where the graphic is printed on a transfer paper (film) and pressed onto the shirt with a heat press. Note, this is different than silkscreening and has a different feel and appearance. You will notice a slight film around the graphic because each transfer sheet must be trimmed around the graphic as close as possible, but there is some "feel" beyond the graphic. This feel does diminish as the shirt is washed. Because we have such a large library of graphics to choose from heat transfer allows us to do one of a kind and print on demand eliminating the need for inventory and keeps costs down.
Washing Instructions
ALWAYS, ALWAYS WASH YOUR SHIRT THROUGH A FULL WASH CYCLE BEFORE WEARING!
Wash in warm (not hot) water (30°C/86°F),
Do not bleach.
Wash shirt the first time with print side "OUT" after that wash with print to the "inside" to protect the printed surface.
We use a pre-shrunk 100% cotton shirt with a slight polyester blend to help reduce shrinkage but note, most t-shirts can shrink a little after their first wash.
Dry at a LOW temperature. Drying at a high temperature can cause the print to crack.
DO NOT IRON THE PRINTED AREA!
